History

The Society of St Vincent de Paul was founded in 1833 in France. Locally four conferences (St Juan Diego, St Joseph, St Scholastica and St Pio of Pietrelcina) had been serving the community for at least fifty years. In 2021 with the merging of the parishes, these four conferences became one.

Blessed Frederick Ozanam founded the Society of St Vincent de Paul as a lay community where the members could grow spiritually through service to the poor.

Our friends in need and volunteers do not need to be Catholic. We also do not discriminate based on any other criteria. People of all backgrounds are welcome to serve or get assistance.
